In 1945, Arnold Arana introduced the Burlap for the Klamath River where it is still used extensively today ( Steelhead Fly Tying Guide by H. Kent Helvie).

BRINDLE BUG
The Brindle Bug was created in about 1960 by Lloyd Silvius, a professional flytyer from Eureka. It was very popular amongst anglers on the Klamath and Trinity rivers (The Complete Illustrated Directory of Salmon Flies by Chris Mann).

Body: Light Green and Olive variegated chenille
