Dean River Steelhead Flies

I have a good friend who is going to the Dean River this summer.  Here are some flies that I hope that he can catch some big ones with.

This is my version of the Sputterkicker.  It is found in Trey Combs Steelhead Fly Fishing book on page 239.  There is just a sketch and the recipe.

This is the Orange Butt Black – the original is a Green Butt Black.

Here is two a classics – Royal Coachman Bucktail, tied on a Partridge CS42 hook and a Burlap tied on an Alec Jackson hook.
